Exploring our Creative Interests

Where do we begin and how do we begin exploring our creative interests as a community? Who do we want in the conversation? Who do we want to be involved, participate in, and contribute to the conversation? If urban design contributes to our cultural, economic, social, and community development, what issues are we concerned about? What ideas do we have for creative urban design? What are our creative interests? What are our concerns? What opportunities and ideas do we have to explore?

What can we do to improve our ability to create our community for our future, our city, our experience, our home. What do we imagine we could create? What could contribute to creating the city and the community we want to create with our city? What can we do which would contribute?

Creating a framework for planning

There is this very difficult tradition that comes from the way we teach architecture and planning, the idea that one person can solve everything. We even have this term, the master plan, which will answer all questions, and of course we know that cities are unbelievably complex so even the idea of a master plan is really crazy. All we need is a very robust framework which allows life to take place.

Creating a sustainable city

To create a sustainable city we need to create a sustainable community. If we create sustainable communities we will create a sustainable world. To create a sustainable community we need to create community around our common interests and our common enterprise. A sustainable enterprise is a creative enterprise. A sustainable community is a creative community. A sustainable community enterprise is a creative community enterprise.

Creating an efficient city

To do more with less begins by exploring what we are doing now with our community resources and what we can do to do more and better, what we can do differently, and what different things we can do to increase the contribution of our community resources to our common and creative interests as a community.

Creating a system for creative community enterprise

Creative community enterprise contributes to creating sustainable communities. When we create sustainable communities we create a sustainable world. A sustainable community is a creative community. Creative community enterprise creates possibilities for our community.

Increasing our understanding of urban design
Creating spaces to create community
Creating a place for everyone
Creating our story
Imagining what we like to be known for

We can organize what we know, what we are doing, and what is working around our common interests as a community creating a place where we can become informed, become connected, and become engaged in considering our common interests and explore what we could do to create the community we like to be and like to be known for. These are some of the things we might like to be known for.
